Button not going to stay behind Hamilton for long

London, Mar. 17 (ANI): Formula One world champion Jenson Button reckons he won't be staying behind McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton for too long.

Button was seventh in the F1 season opener in Bahrain - 20 seconds off fellow British star Hamilton, who was third.

But Button insists his confidence wasn't hit in his first race with the team.

"Going into any team with a driver who has been there for a while means he has experience of working with that team," The Sun quoted Button, as saying.

"The engineers are listening to what I have to say. I've just got to find something in the balance which suits my style more," he added.

Still, Button knows that he must improve qualifying pace to match Hamilton.

"The race showed we are better than we saw in qualifying. We know it is one lap that we struggle with," he said. (ANI)
