Button to propose to girlfriend, but only after winning world championship next year

London, Oct. 25 (ANI): Reigning Formula One champion Jenson Button has vowed to propose to his Japanese model girlfriend, Jessica Michibata, but only after winning the world championship next year.

Button said he was revving up to marry his Michibata, 25, if he becomes the first British driver to win back-to-back championships.

"We're happy the way we are right now. But if I win again next year, yeah, I'll propose then," News of the World quoted Button, as saying.

"I love Jessica to bits. We have so much in common. Plus, she is really hot," he added.

Earlier, Button had told lingerie model Michibata to stay away from Brazil so he could focus on the race.

And despite him begging her to fly home for a romantic reunion, she told him she had to finish a photo-shoot in Japan.

"Jessica was gutted she wasn't here to see me become world champion but she understands the situation," he said.

"I've been telling her, 'Come on honey, you can get off work, I want to see you now'. But she can't, she's working. I'll see her Friday, and I can't wait," he added. (ANI)
