CAB's 77th AGM begins, election to follow for President

By Staff

Kolkata, Jul 29 (UNI) The 77th AGM of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) began this evening at the Eden Gardens, which will be followed by an election to determine whether Jagmohan Dalmiya returned or incumbent Prasun Mukherjee retained his post as the CAB president.

Altogether 118 members of the 121 are attending the Annual General Meeting, who are eligible to elect a president, four vice-presidents, two joint secretaries and a treasurer.

Three members, ABP Sports Club, Malda District Association and BATA Sports Club are abstaining from the AGM meeting.

Speculation was rife that former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya was set to return as his group was claiming to attain the magic figure 60.

On other hand Prasun Mukherjee's group was also sure that they would retain the power in the CAB.
