Camp for batsman to end today

Banglaore, Jun 12 (UNI) The four-day Batsmens' camp for team India entered the final day with the ten Indian batsman put through their paces to sharpen their fitness at M Chinnaswamy stadium here today.

The camp which also focussed on fitness had captain Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and seven others, as the team to tour Ireland to play South Africa in a one-day series is to be announced later today. The players also trained in the gym.

Physio Gregory King and specialist fielding coach Robin Singh oversaw the proceedings, while bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad was at hand to help the bowlers.

Meanwhile, the special children of Mathru Foundation who came to the stadium were enthralled as the cricketers came down to meet them. The children were brought by foundation convener and Para Olympian, Malati Holla.
