Canadian duo Virtue Moir grab ice dancing gold

Vancouver, Feb 23: Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir became the first ever North American couple to win the ice dance title at Vancouver Games after pushing Americans Meryl Davis and Charlie White into the second spot.

The Canadian couple won the medal on Monday, Feb 22 leaving the home crowd breathless after a stunning performance of free dance, earning a total of 221.57.

Davis-White earned 215.74.

With 207.64, world champions Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin of Russia took home the bronze.
