London, Oct 16(ANI): With the 2010 World Cup in South Africa barely eight months away, England manager Fabio Capello has said that he has already decided upon 16 of the 23 players who will represent the national squad.

According to reports, after the Three Lions ended their qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win over Belarus, Capello named the players and raised a toast in the Wembley dressing room.

"We just had a toast together. I wanted to say 'Thank you for being here; thank you for supporting us at every moment'. This is important. I told them 'See you in South Africa'. I have to repeat the same thing every time," The Mirror quoted Capello, as saying.

Capello was also hopeful of some important players regaining their fitness before the mega event, said it was impossible to name all 23 players for South Africa.

"I have told you a lot of times, the door is open for all the players. We have to wait until April to see what the situation is about the players. I spoke with some players who are injured like Stewart Downing and Owen Hargreaves. I need to wait for all the players," Capello said.

"I don't think about the 23 that we have to choose before we go to South Africa. I hope some really important players will be fit and not injured at the World Cup. But, we have a lot of young players, like Agbonlahor, who can improve more this season. This is really important. Theo Walcott is not here but he is young also. We have four good young players," he added. (ANI)
