Caribbean World Cup was the best: Ehsaan Mani
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) The Caribbean World Cup may have gone down as one of the worst-ever Cup held, but former president of ICC Ehsaan Mani has termed this edition of the mega event as the 'best-ever'.
''I have had the privilege of being involved in the last four World Cups. The organisation of World Cup 2007 was the best I have seen,'' Mani, who stepped down as ICC President last June, was quoted in a cricket website as saying.
''The stadiums were excellent and will be a lasting legacy for the future young cricketers of the region,'' he added.
He also showered praise on World Cup Organising Committee CEO Chris Dehring and his team.
''Chris and his team did a superb job,'' Mani said He was also happy with the 'outstanding hospitality and excellent arrangements' made for visiting dignitaries from the 16 participating nations as well as from the 26 associate-member countries of the world body.
