Carlos Gracida Memorial Cup Set to Mark Week Three of the Jindal Polo Spring Season

The Carlos Gracida Memorial Cup, a 6-goal tournament, begins at the Jindal Polo Estate in Noida on 11th March 2026 and runs till 15th March 2026. It follows two weeks of polo in the Jindal Polo Spring Season.

The event honours legendary polo player Carlos Gracida, known for his many U.S. Open Polo Championship wins. The memorial cup marks his impact on global polo and gathers leading players for India’s busy spring polo calendar at the Jindal Polo Estate in Noida.

Carlos Gracida Memorial Cup Opens Noida Polo

This tournament follows the Sunjay Kapur Memorial Cup. In that final, Team X beat Jindal Panther 8–6. It was a close match and gave strong momentum to the Spring Season, setting up another intense week of polo in Noida.

Teams, pools and key line-ups

Six teams will compete, split into two pools. Pool A has Riverside, Tigers and Instrucko. Pool B has Jindal Panther, Carysil and Youngsters. The squads mix seasoned professionals and young talent, promising close league games before the title match on 15th March.

High-handicap players and emerging talent

Argentina’s Juan Gris Zavaleta (+7) is the highest ranked player in the event. He turns out for Jindal Panther and brings strong international experience. Other key names include Shamsheer Ali (+4) and Simran Shergill (+4), who guide their teams with calm and tactical play.

There is also a strong group of +3 players. Siddhant Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Naveen Singh and Hurr Ali have already impressed earlier in the Spring Season. They add depth to their sides and are likely to decide key moments in close matches.

Versatile +2 players will link attack and defence. Names to follow include Phill Seller, Salim Azmi, Angad Kalaan, Bhawani Kalvi and Dino Dhankar. Their work between the lines will help shape team balance through the league games and in the final.

Match schedule and title clash

Play starts on 11th March with Tigers against Instrucko in the opening match. Later that day, Carysil meet Jindal Panther. The league phase continues on 12th and 13th March, with fixtures deciding which two teams advance to the title clash.
