Cleveland Cavaliers Achieve Historic 12-0 Start In NBA Season With Win Over Chicago Bulls

The Cleveland Cavaliers secured a remarkable 12-0 start to the NBA season by defeating the Chicago Bulls. Donovan Mitchell led with 36 points, while significant support came from the bench. This achievement marks only the eighth time in NBA history a team has started a season with such a record.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 119-113 victory over the Chicago Bulls, scoring a season-high 36 points. The Cavaliers, still undefeated, rallied from a nine-point deficit in the third quarter. They became only the eighth team in NBA history to start a season with a 12-0 record. Cleveland is also the only team to score at least 110 points in each of its first 12 games.

The Cavaliers' bench played a crucial role in their comeback. Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, and Ty Jerome each contributed 12 points. Jerome also added six assists. Darius Garland scored 17 points, while Evan Mobley had 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Zach LaVine led Chicago with 26 points but the Bulls struggled with turnovers, committing 20 in total.

Cavs Start NBA Season with Impressive 12-0 Record

Cleveland initially held a 52-42 lead midway through the second quarter. However, the Bulls responded with a strong run to take a narrow lead before halftime. Despite this setback, Cleveland's bench sparked a comeback with back-to-back three-pointers from LeVert and Dean Wade. Niang then tied the game with a three-point play.

The game was tied again at 106-106 with five minutes remaining. The Cavaliers then went on a decisive 9-2 run, capped by LeVert's three-pointer, securing their lead for good. This victory marked another milestone for Cleveland as they continued their impressive start to the season.

Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered an outstanding performance for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Los Angeles Clippers. He scored a career-high of 45 points in their thrilling 134-128 win. This victory came after Oklahoma City's loss to Golden State Warriors and losing Chet Holmgren due to injury.

Despite being out-rebounded by the Clippers and facing strong shooting from beyond the arc, Oklahoma City prevailed thanks to Gilgeous-Alexander's efforts. He shot efficiently from both field and free throw line while adding nine assists. Jalen Williams also contributed significantly with his all-around performance.

Wembanyama's Dominance Leads Spurs

Victor Wembanyama showcased his talent as he led San Antonio Spurs past Sacramento Kings with an impressive performance of 34 points and 14 rebounds. Wembanyama joined an elite group of players achieving significant milestones early in their careers.

The Spurs bounced back from recent losses by making a season-high number of three-pointers against Sacramento. Chris Paul added valuable contributions with his scoring and playmaking abilities as San Antonio secured their win comfortably.

The Kings initially built an early lead but couldn't maintain it as San Antonio surged ahead before halftime. Sacramento struggled offensively in the third quarter allowing Spurs to extend their advantage further into double digits during final minutes of play.
