CCI marker Pacharni stretched before advancing to second round
Mumbai, July 30 (UNI) Cricket Club of India marker Bakerao Pacharni was taken the distance before advancing to the second round of the Kotak Mahindra Bank-Wilson Jones Open Handicap Billiards&Snooker Championship 2007, at the P J Hindu Gymkhana here today.
On a day of close encounters, Pacharni (+60) recovered from the loss of the opening frame to beat Rajan Gupta (+60) 103-127, 116-100, 105-81 in an absorbing first round best-of-three frames contest.
In other close first round ties that also went the distance, Ghanshyam Ved (+55) overcame Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana marker and Pro Classic semi-finalist Vilas Arundekar (+55) 69-104, 112-91, 100-96, while Rohan Jambusaria (+60) beat Gopal Punjabi (+60) 101-113, 122-108, 110-64.
