Jayson Tatum scored 22 points, and Derrick White added 20 as the Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-105. This victory showcased their championship calibre in a clash between top Eastern Conference teams. The Celtics executed well in the final minutes, holding off the Cavs, who have now lost only four of their 28 home games this season.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 31 points, while Darius Garland contributed 25. Despite cutting a 15-point deficit to just four in the fourth quarter, Cleveland couldn't overcome Boston's late surge. Kristaps Porziņģis added 19 points for Boston, and Jaylen Brown chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Celtics Defeat Cavaliers in Close Game

Derrick White played a crucial role in sealing the win for Boston. After Cleveland closed within four points late in the fourth quarter, White hit a short jumper followed by two consecutive three-pointers. This gave Boston a commanding 107-97 lead with just over two minutes remaining.

Evan Mobley struggled for Cleveland, scoring only seven points on 3-of-14 shooting. Recently returning from a calf injury, Mobley has yet to regain his full explosiveness. His performance was not impactful on either end of the court during this matchup.

Joel Embiid returned to action after a month-long absence, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a narrow 118-116 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Embiid recorded his first triple-double of an injury-hit season with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists. He played without restrictions despite wearing a knee brace.

Tyrese Maxey was instrumental for Philadelphia as well, scoring 33 points and dishing out 13 assists. Kyrie Irving led Dallas with 34 points while Naji Marshall added 19. Anthony Davis did not play due to an abdominal injury but was present courtside following his trade from Los Angeles.

Lakers Dominate Clippers

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a decisive victory against their city rivals, the Clippers, winning by a score of 122-97 at Intuit Dome. LeBron James led with an impressive performance of 26 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Luka Dončić watched from the bench after being traded to Los Angeles.

Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura each contributed significantly with 20 points for the Lakers. This win marked their first at their crosstown rivals' new arena and capped off a successful six-game road trip where they won five games despite losing Anthony Davis to injury before his trade.

The Clippers struggled offensively as Norman Powell scored only twenty points while James Harden managed seven on poor shooting. Kawhi Leonard also had an off night with just eleven points before both stars sat out during most of the fourth quarter.
