Central Railway women beat GKM

Payyanur, Kerala, Feb 26 (UNI) Central Railway women beat G K M Foundation, Chennai in three straight sets in the first match of the second day National League Volleyball championship at the Jimmy George stadium here this evening by 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.

The height of Central Railway players comes handy for them in many ways while GKM, players could tackle them through some good blocks.

Both the teams fought till the end in the first set that lasted for 18 minutes.

In the second set, Central Railway took 17 minutes with Jibi Abraham, Priyanka Bora and Hemalatha Ursal dominating the proceedings.

While in the third set, which took 16 Minutes, saw a spirited retaliation from the GKM upto 12 points. But later Railway took control over the proceedings In yesterday's last match Kochin Refineries beat ICF Chennai by 25-13, 27-25 and 25-23.
