Chandigarh Wing NCC wins shooting championship

Chandigarh, Jun 30 (UNI) NCC Group Chandigarh won the overall Inter Group Shooting Championship which concluded at Patiala Ki Rao Firing Ranges here last evening.

In the .22 Open Sight Rifle category, Chandigarh Group scored two Gold, threee Silver and three Bronze in individual events and six Gold and two Silver in team events.

Ambala Group NCC was close second with four Gold, two Silver and two Bronze in individual events and one Gold, three Silver and three Bronze in the team events.

Brig Rajendra Singh, Deputy Director General, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh NCC Directorate gave away the prizes.

During the course of the NCC's current talent hunt mission, the regional team of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh NCC Directorate has been selected, which now be undergoing a coaching camp to prepare for the National Shooting Championship.

Seargent Sandeep and Cadet Gaurav of Ambala Group, Cadets Arjun Gupta, Hitesh and Anjum Moudgil of Chandigarh Group, and Nishant Saini of Patiala Group have been the finds of the tournament.
