Cheryl Cole comforts distraught Wayne Bridge

London, Feb 04 (ANI): Soccer star Ashley Cole's wife/singer Cheryl has offered support to her husband's English teammate Wayne Bridge, after his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel allegedly had an affair with John Terry.

The 'Girls Aloud' member reportedly told Bridge she was "there for him" and would do "anything" possible for him and his three-year-old son Jaydon.

Also, Bridge's pals have revealed Cheryl's support "meant the world to him".

"Wayne was delighted that Cheryl took the time to get in touch. It hopefully proves to him that the world backs him as the injured party in all this," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

The insider added: "It could also turn all the other wives against Vanessa. Cheryl is their leader and they like to fall in line behind what she does, especially as they'll all be together at the World Cup."

Cole's family has been living in friendly terms with Bridge and had even holidayed with him and Vanessa in the south of France last summer. (ANI)
