Chess Olympiad 2024: India 2nd Round Schedule, Board Pairings, Where to Watch

After a decent start to the first round of the Chess Olympiad 2024, team India will be hoping for a continuation of that in the second round of the competition.

This event will take place at the SYMA Sports and Conference Centre in Budapest, Hungary on Thursday (September 12).

India's men's team will play Iceland in Round 2 of the tournament. Meanwhile, India's women's team will face the Czech Republic in their second-round match after defeating Jamaica 3.5-0.5 in the opening round.

The results from Round 1 saw India dominate both sections. In the open section, India triumphed over Morocco with a clean sweep of 4-0. In the women's section, India emerged victorious against Jamaica with a score of 3.5-0.5.

In their first-round match, the Indian men's team secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Morocco.

The live streaming of the Chess Olympiad 2024 can be accessed on FIDE's YouTube channel. However, there has been no official announcement regarding TV broadcasting of the event in India.

The Indian teams have shown strong performances so far and will aim to continue their winning streaks in their upcoming matches against Iceland and the Czech Republic.
