After a decent start to the first round of the Chess Olympiad 2024, team India will be hoping for a continuation of that in the second round of the competition.
This event will take place at the SYMA Sports and Conference Centre in Budapest, Hungary on Thursday (September 12).

India's men's team will play Iceland in Round 2 of the tournament. Meanwhile, India's women's team will face the Czech Republic in their second-round match after defeating Jamaica 3.5-0.5 in the opening round.
The results from Round 1 saw India dominate both sections. In the open section, India triumphed over Morocco with a clean sweep of 4-0. In the women's section, India emerged victorious against Jamaica with a score of 3.5-0.5.
In their first-round match, the Indian men's team secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Morocco.
