Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi enter QF of national youth basketball
Jaipur, Jan 11 (UNI) Chhattisgarh entered the quarter-finals in both boy's and girl's sections of the 23rd National Youth basketball championships at the SMS indoor hall here today.
Hosts Rajasthan and Delhi had also moved into the last eight stage in boy's and girl's sections respectively.
Meanwhile, eight teams in each section had also marched into the last sixteen from which the remaining six qualifiers for the quarterfinals will be known.
In today's matches, Chhattisgarh boys whipped Gujarat 82-50 (48-29) and rounded off their league engagemnets with an unbeaten record.
P Singh top-scored with 35 for Chhattisgarh followed by KP Singh with 25. RP Dana (22) and D Shah (14) were the main scorers for the losers.
In a keenly contested encounter, Andhra Pradesh had to struggle hard before beating Mizoram 77-72 after taking a lead of 36-35 at the breather.
