Chopra finishes tied 42nd in Players Championship

Florida, May 12 (UNI) Daniel Chopra stumbled in the last round as he shot a disappointing six-over 78 to finish tied 42nd with a total of seven-over 295 in the 9.5 million dollar Players Championship here.

On his front nine, Chopra turn in one-over with two birdies and three bogeys. On the back nine, he bogeyed the 10th and 12th and closed the tournament with three bogeys from 16th to 18th.

Chopra had opened the tournament with an even-par 72 and added a similar score on the second day when he was 16th.

On the third day, he went over par and on the final day he went six-over for his worst round of the week.

Sergio Garcia of Spain has won the title by defeating American Paul Goydos in a playoff. The two had completed the regulation 72 holes with an identical five under 283.
