Churchill Brothers team accorded grand welcome

Panaji, Nov 9 (UNI) Durand Cup champions Churchill Brothers were accorded a hero's welcome when the team and the officials arrived here at the Dabolim airport with the trophy today.

Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, Sports Authority of Goa executive director V M Prabhudesai, Goa Football Association office-bearers and a large number of football fans were present at the airport to receive the team, following the first major triumph outside Goan soil.

The players and the officials were taken in a motorcade with the trophy and the motorcade made its way through Margao, Navelim, and Orlim before arriving at the Varca Club House in South Goa.
