Los Angeles Rams' star wide receiver Cooper Kupp is set to leave the team as the Rams want him out.
In a surprising announcement on social media, Kupp revealed that the Rams will be seeking a trade immediately and will work with him and his family to find a suitable destination.

Kupp's best year came in 2021, when he won the NFL's receiving triple crown, leading the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and Touchdowns (16).
That same season, he played a key role in helping the Rams win Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. However, injuries have plagued the veteran receiver in recent seasons. He has missed multiple games over the past three years, including four this season due to an ankle injury.
Speculation about Kupp's future began when the Rams started the season 1-4. However, a midseason three-game win streak helped them secure the NFC West division title. Despite their playoff push, the Rams were eliminated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round.
As the Rams look ready to move on from Kupp, the wide receiver expressed his disappointment in the move, stating that he did not agree with the team's decision. The 31-year-old, who was drafted by the Rams in the third round (69th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, had always envisioned spending his entire career in Los Angeles, and he was clear on a social media post.
"I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don't agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA," Kupp wrote on X.
"Still, if there's one thing that I have learned over the years: there are so many things that are out of your control, but it is how you respond to these things that you will look back on and remember," the post added.
Kupp's teammate Puka Nacua, who has emerged as the Rams' primary offensive weapon, also appeared surprised by the development. The 23-year-old receiver reacted to the news on social media, writing, "So I thought it was just the NBA trade season."
