CPT defeats champions KPT in port table tennis tournament

Kochi, Mar 29 (UNI) Hosts Cochin Port Trust (CPT) today started their campaign on a winning note by defeating champions Kolkata Port Trust (KPT) 3-2 in the team event of the 30th All India Major Ports Table Tennis Tournament here.

In other team events Mumbai Port Trust beat Chennai Port Trust 3-0, Kandla Port Trust defeated Paradip Port Trust 3-0, Vizag Port Trust outclassed Goa Port Trust 3-0 and Cochin Port Trust downed Paradip Port Trust 3-0.

The tournament, featuring eight teams from major ports, would conclude on March 31.
