Stephen Curry Prepares To Return For Golden State Warriors Despite Ongoing Thigh Injury

Stephen Curry is set to return for the Golden State Warriors after missing five games due to a right quad contusion. Despite not being fully pain-free, his comeback is vital for the team's success.

Stephen Curry is set to rejoin the Golden State Warriors, although he acknowledges that his thigh injury isn't fully healed. The injury, a right quad contusion, occurred during a game against the Houston Rockets on November 26. Since then, Curry has missed five games. During his absence, the Warriors have faced challenges, losing three out of five matches.

Curry plans to play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday despite not being entirely pain-free. "It was a contusion that turned into, or was combined with, a muscle strain," Curry explained to reporters. He mentioned that regaining full motion was difficult and only achieved a few days ago. Now, it's about managing pain and rebuilding strength.

Curry Ready to Return for Warriors

The Warriors have experienced mixed results without Curry, securing only two wins in five games. Currently, they hold the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings with 13 wins and 12 losses. His return is anticipated to boost their performance as they aim for higher rankings.

Curry's focus has been on muscle endurance and ensuring all parts of his body are functioning well together. "All the work you put in muscle endurance, getting everything firing along the whole chain—that's what the focus has been over the past week," he stated. Once he regained full motion, returning to normal movement became possible.

In his 17th NBA season, Curry maintains an impressive average of 27.9 points per game with a three-point shooting accuracy of 39.1%. Additionally, he contributes 4.0 assists per game. His performance remains crucial for the Warriors as they navigate this season.

Curry's determination to return despite not being fully recovered highlights his commitment to the team. His presence on the court is expected to significantly impact their upcoming games and overall season trajectory.
