CWG: Archer Rahul Banerjee wins gold, India's 27th

New Delhi, Oct 10: India won it's 27th gold in Commonwealth Games on Sunday, Oct 10. Indian Archer grabbed the gold medal in men's recurve archery event.

Archer Rahul Banerjee won the yellow metal for the host country by beating Canadian archer in the finals. It was India's third gold medal on the seventh day of the Delhi mega event.

Meanwhile, Manavjit Singh Sandhu won bronze in singles trap event and Jayanta Talukdar won another bronze in the men's individual recurve event.

Earlier Indian shooter Harpreet Singh won gold in 25m centre-fire pistol individual event and archer Deepika Kumari bagged another gold in women's recurve archery singles event.

Archer Dola Banerjee also won bronze in the recurve archery singles event. India, second in the medal tally behind Australia, has 27 gold, 17 silver and 20 bronze medals.
