CWG: Fennel holds talks with Cabinet Secy, Kalmadi

New Delhi, Sep 24: In his meeting with the Cabinet Secretariat, K M Chandrashekar on Friday, Sep 24, Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) chief, Michael Fennell is learnt to have raised the issue of the cleanliness and other issues pertaining to the soon approaching Delhi games.
Scandal-tainted organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi along with senior officials of Delhi government, chief secretary Rakesh Mehra, Delhi police commissioner, YS Dadwal were also present at the meeting.
As per inputs, Fennel is understood to have discussed issues relating to concerns of various participating countries over sanitation and other problems in the living quarters at the Games Village and security issues.
The talks were held after Fennell, Kalmadi, Secretary General Randhir Singh and CGF CEO Mike Hooper, took stock of the current situation at the athletes Village.
