CWG: Indian wrestlers fail in dope test, suspended

New Delhi, Sep 2: Including one Arjuna award winner, three other Indian wrestlers were failed in NADA dope test just before the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010.

The national federation on Thursday, Sep 2 declared their replacement for the coming CWG from Oct 3 to Oct 14.

The four wrestlers, Sumit (74kg), Mausam Khatri (96kg) and Rajiv Tomar (120kg) and Gursharanpreet Kaur (women's 72kg), tested positive for Methyl Hexa Neamine.

"The wrestlers from Commonwealth Games team have tested positive for Methyl Hexa Neamine (non specified substance) as per the report received from NADA," said an Indian wrestling federation.

The national federation has provisionally suspended all these wrestlers.

Rajiv Tomar was recently conferred the Arjuna Award while Alka Tomar was bronze medal winner in the Asian Championship in May 2010.
