CWG pool water polluted?

New Delhi, Oct 6: CWG federation chief, Michael Fennell confirmed a minute investigation into the swimming pool contaminated controversy, which raised at the Games' swimming venue.

Fennell on Thursday, Oct 7 claimed, "We are ensuring that the water quality is tested. We don't have specific reports about illness. We must find this out immediately. We have to deal with it. It needs some urgency."

According the sources, almost two-thirds of the English swimmers have fallen ill after performing at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Aquatics Complex.

British swimming star, Francesca Halsall also fainted in the pool after the 100 meters freestyle race and team doctor claimed, "It is hygiene-related."

However, no specific reports about the athletes' illness came yet as Fennell mentioned, "These are being investigated, though we are yet to get specific reports from swimming."
