CWG: Sushil Kumar grabs 28th gold for India

New Delhi, Oct 10: The world champion wrestler Sushil Kumar has won 28th gold for India in Commonwealth Games on Sunday Oct 10.

Sushil Kumar, Olympic bronze medalist, grabbed the yellow metal in wrestling freestyle 66 kg category. Sushil won the gold just minutes after another Indian won gold in archery. Archer Rahul Banerjee won gold in men's recurve archery event.

Sunday, the seventh day of the Delhi mega event, is a great day for India as it added 4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze to the medal tally till yet. India has 28 gold, 18 silver and 21 bronze medals. It is India's highest gold medal hunting in the history of Commonwealth Games.

Later on the day, Indian archer Deepika Kumari won gold in women's recurve archery event and shooter Harpreet Singh won gold medals in 25m centre-fire pistol individual event.
