Dancevic upsets Roddick in Indianapolis semi-final
INDIANAPOLIS, July 28 (Reuters) Canadian Frank Danevic upset top-seeded Andy Roddick 6-4 7-6 in the Indianapolis championships tomorrow to reach his first ATP final.
American Roddick struggled to cope with the heat which soared to 42 degrees Celsius, dropping his serve in the ninth game of the first set.
Dancevic posted 15 aces, 36 winners and 16 unforced errors, while Roddick had eight aces, 23 winners and 28 unforced errors.
The Canadian will play the winner of the semi-final betweeen third-seeded Dmitry Tursunov and Sam Querrey on Sunday.
