De'Aaron Fox Scores 49 Points To Propel Kings Past Jazz In Thrilling Match

Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown praises De'Aaron Fox for his outstanding performance, scoring 49 points against the Utah Jazz. This achievement follows his record-setting two-game total of 109 points.

De'Aaron Fox showcased his exceptional skills, leading the Sacramento Kings to a 121-117 victory over the Utah Jazz. This performance came after Fox's impressive 60-point game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite the previous loss, Fox managed to score 49 points at the Golden 1 Center, setting a new franchise record for points over two games. He surpassed DeMarcus Cousins' previous record of 104 points from 2016.

Fox's remarkable achievement places him among elite company in NBA history. He became only the third player to score at least 109 points over two days, joining legends Kobe Bryant and Wilt Chamberlain. The Kings were without key players DeMar DeRozan, Domantas Sabonis, and Malik Monk. Coach Mike Brown praised Fox for stepping up in their absence.

Fox's 49 Points Secure Kings' Win Over Jazz

"The back-to-back, the overtime game, him playing 75 minutes [on Friday] ... for him to come with us missing three of our top six guys, that's what says OK, he's De'Aaron Fox, and he did his job," Brown stated. "Nobody can stop him from getting to his spots when he wants to. He's feeling that. Not only is he feeling that, but he's showing that."

Brown compared Fox's ability to consistently reach his scoring spots with other NBA greats like Stephen Curry and LeBron James. "When you have guys of his calibre - and I've been around the Stephs [Curry] and the KDs [Kevin Durant] and the Kobes and the LeBrons [James] and the Tim Duncans ... they get to their spots when they want to," Brown explained.

Fox's shooting stats were impressive: he went 16-of-30 from the field and made 14-of-19 free throws while contributing nine assists and two steals against Utah. The previous night against Minnesota, he shot 22-of-35 from the field with six three-pointers and ten free throws.

Fatigue Doesn't Hinder Performance

Despite playing extensive minutes over consecutive nights, Fox remained resilient. "I was a little tired coming in [on Saturday], but I feel like when the game started, I was fine," Fox admitted. "I'm not going to say I'm not tired ... but I can't say this back-to-back has made me more tired than any other back-to-back."

The Kings improved their record to 8-6 following this win, bouncing back from their previous defeat. Meanwhile, Utah continues to struggle at the bottom of the Western Conference with their ninth loss of the season.
