Debala lauded for achieving third position in Asian Climbing

Imphal, Nov 4 (UNI) The Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) lauded Senjam Debala of Bengi in Thoubal district for achieving the third position in Asian Youth Championship of Sport Climbing held in Japan recently.

Ms Debala is the only woman climber from the country to bag the position in the Asian Championship.

The championship was organised by the Japan Mountaineering Association and sponsored by the International Federation of Sport Climbing.

Five Indian climbers participated in the competition in which Ms Debala is the only medalist from India.
