Delhi outplay Tripura to enter pre-quarter finals of Santosh Troph

Srinagar, May 30 (UNI) Delhi defeated Tripura 2-0 in their last league match in Cluster III to enter the pre-quarter finals of the 62nd National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy here today.

Striker Parveen Rawat scored in the early minutes to grab the lead for Delhi.

The boys from the capital completely dominated the first half although Tripura also got a number of chances to level the scores.

It was G Kanch, who consolidated the lead after punching in a long ranger from the top of the box in the 33rd minute.

Delhi will now clash with hosts Jammu and Kashmir in the pre-quater finals on June 1.
