Delhi thrash Haryana 3-0 to lead group II

Goa, Feb 27 (UNI) Delhi thrashed Haryana 3-0 as they continued their winning spree to top group II in the AIFF (under-14) football festival at Nehru Stadium here today.

Delhi captain Kislay Singh opened his team's account in the fifth minute to make it 1-0.

Haryana was all at bay as it failed to control Delhi's attack.

In the seventh minute vice-captain Michael Chongthu extended the lead by another goal and Real Singh later scored the last goal of the match in the 15th minute to seal the victory for Delhi.

After leading the group II, Delhi will now take on Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh in the next round.

Delhi earned three green cards to make it 45 points by virtue of their fair play in the three games they played.

Earlier, Delhi defeated Uttrakhand 2-0 and were held to a 1-1 draw by Karnataka.
