Delhi thrashes J

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Delhi maintained their winning streak, blanking Jammu and Kashmir 3-0 today to top Group II of the AIFF U-14 Football Festival currently underway at Margao (Goa).

Delhi opened their account through Yudhvir Singh in the 15th minute. Supriya Debarath increased the lead in the 36th minute as Delhi went into half-time with a 2-0 lead.

Vice-captain Michael Chongtu, who is the leading scorer of the tournament, completed the tally as he slammed in a penalty in the 55th minute.

Delhi earned two green cards for being the best disciplined team and for the team officials.

The team from the capital is of the favourites for the championship title along with West Bengal and Chandigarh.
