Dempo prepared to give their best against Al Sadd

Panaji, Feb 18 (PTI) India''s Champion club Dempo are wellprepared to take on the challenge of Qatar giants Al Sadd whenthey both lock horns tomorrow at Qatar in the AFC ChampionsLeague play-off.

"We take a lot of pride in in the fact that our club hasqualified to play in the AFC champions League play-off matchagainst Al Sadd (Qatar) and the boys are prepared to givetheir best to ensure that the team gets a favourable result,"said a confident Dempo''s coach Armando Colaco at a pre-matchpress conference held at the Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad Stadium.

The Dempo coach announced that the team and managementtook great pride in the fact that its players had worked hardenough over the years to make it to this level in an Asiancompetition and the AFC Champions League happens to be atop-tier event where the competition gets toughest.

"We have come here to gain experience and playing againsta quality team like Al Sadd will allow the Dempo team to testitself against a worthy team from Qatar. I have alwaysmaintained that having come this far in the competition, theboys are prepared to give their best and take home the sweetmemories and the invaluable experience they would be gainingout of such matches."

"Dempos have always approached football in the mostprofessional way possible and our Club Chairman ShrinivasDempo being young and enthusiastic person, has always backedthe team to do well and hence we are very keen to make a markin the play-off match and give our best to seek qualificationinto the main draw of the competition," stated Colaco.

He said that things are expected to be tough intomorrow''s match not only because Al Sadd is playing in frontof their home supporters, but also because of the fact thatthey have already beaten Syrian club Al Ittihad 5-1 cominginto tomorrow''s encounter. .
