Deputy CM congratulates Bindra for winning Olympic gold

Patna, Aug 11 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Sports Minister Renu Devi today congratulated Abhinav Bindra for winning the gold medal for India at the Beijing Olympics.

In his message, Mr Modi said ''It is for the first time since 1980 that the country got the pride of winning gold medal in Olympics and Abhinav Bindra brought this glory for the nation.'' Sports Minister Renu Devi said '' With his victory Abhinav Bindra gave a new direction to the sports in the country and I hope the other participants too would be inspired with the achievements and victory of Abhinav Bindra.''
