Zurich will host the two-day season finale of the 2025 Diamond League in August, while the competition is set to kick off with two events in China, organizers announced on Wednesday (October 2).
The provisional schedule for the 16th edition of track and field's top one-day meeting series includes 15 host cities spanning 14 countries across four continents.

Xiamen will kick off the series on April 26, followed by Shanghai/Suzhou a week later. Doha and Rabat are set for May, leading into the first European event in Rome in June.
Following the events in Oslo, Stockholm, and Paris, the competition will move to the United States, where the Prefontaine Classic will be held in Eugene, Oregon, in July.
Monaco, London, Silesia, Lausanne, and Brussels will host events in July and August, leading up to the final in Zurich on August 27-28, marking its return as the final's venue for the first time since 2022, all in preparation for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo from September 13-21.
The 2025 edition of the Diamond League will feature a record-breaking prize pool of over $9 million. Two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra finished in first place in the 2022 Diamond League and secured second place in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, respectively.
Neeraj Chopra narrowly missed out on the men's javelin throw title, finishing second by just 0.01 meters in a nail-biting finale at the Diamond League Final in Brussels. The competition was intense, with Anderson Peters of Grenada securing first place with a huge throw of 87.87 meters.
The world champion Chopra, who had been in the running throughout, achieved his best throw of 87.86 meters on the third attempt but fell just short of Peters's mark.
