Ace India gymnast Dipa Karmakar on Sunday (May 26) won a historic Gold at Asian Championships here in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Karmakar improved her previous performance, where she won a bronze in the individual vault final in 2015, by securing the top spot among eight participants in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The 30-year-old Karmakar achieved an average score of 13.566 from her two vaults, both receiving identical scores of 13.566.

North Korea's Kim Son Hyang took the silver with a score of 13.466, while Jo Kyong Byol earned the bronze with 12.966.

Karmakar's Journey and Scores
