The World No. 211 player defeated top seed and World No. 38 Yeh Yi-Tian of Chinese Taipei in a thrilling five-game final, securing her first senior international singles crown.

The match was a classic comeback story. Bhowmick started nervously, losing the opening game 6-11. However, the young Indian displayed remarkable composure and tactical maturity beyond her years. She bounced back strongly to take the second game 11-8 and dominated the third 11-5, showcasing aggressive attacking play and precise shot-making. Though Yeh leveled the match by winning the fourth game 11-7, Bhowmick held her nerve in the decider, closing it out 11-7 to triumph 3-2.
This victory marks Bhowmick as the youngest Indian woman to win a WTT Feeder Women’s Singles title. Throughout the tournament, the teenager defeated multiple higher-ranked opponents, including South Korea’s Minhyung Jee (World No. 64) in the semifinals and compatriot Yashaswini Ghorpade. Her fearless style and mental resilience stood out against more experienced players from table tennis powerhouses.
Adding to her glory, Bhowmick also claimed the Women’s Doubles title partnering with Syndrela Das, completing a historic double gold at the event.
Born on November 19, 2010, the right-handed shakehand grip player from India has been on an upward trajectory. She previously won gold in the U15 Girls’ Singles at the 2025 Asian Cadet Championships and has excelled in youth events. Coached by Massimo Costantini, her success in Prishtina signals a bright future for Indian table tennis on the senior circuit.
