Dola hit bull's eye; bags recurve gold at World Cup

New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) Bang on bull's eye, Dola Banerjee of India won the women's recurve individual gold at the Meteksan Archery World Cup in Dover, Great Britain, today.

In a thrilling edge-of-the seat final, Dola pipped Juan J Zhang of China 111-110 walk away with the glory.

Yesterday, Dola teamed up with Chekrovolu Swuro and L Bombayla Devi to help India win a bronze.

The trio, after losing 210-216 to Italy in the semi-final, defeated Poland 208-198 to finish third on the podium.

Archery Association of India president Vijay Kumar Malhotra congratulated Dola as well as her teammates for the feat.
