Domestic violence twist to Tiger Woods saga

Florida, Mar 13: A dramatic twist has introduced itself in the Tiger Woods saga as reports speculating domestic violence on the part of golfer's wife Elin have emerged.

Reports quoting Florida police records state that Elin was not allowed to travel with her unconscious husband to the hospital as the ambulance crew suspected that it was a case of domestic violence.

With this new twist, the possibility of physical violence in the golfer's marriage has come up again despite Woods' continual denial.

During his Feb 2010 public appearance, Woods made a statement on the very same issue.

"Elin never hit me that night or any other night. There has never been an episode of domestic violence in our marriage, ever," he had said.

The world's best golfer was in a car crash in Nov 2008. He crashed his black SUV into a fire hydrant and a tree while pulling out of Florida mansion.

According to the police records, following the accident, Elin used a golf club to break the rear windows and helped her husband out of the vehicle.

After the car crash, the Tiger Woods' multiple extra marital affairs surfaced in the media damaging the golfers image, which he is still trying to rebuild.
