Don't regret losing one of my 9 Olympic gold medals: Usain Bolt

A few other legendary athletes like Mo Farah, David Rushida, and Michael Johnson are expected to be present in the farewell run of world's all-time great sprinter.

Usain Bolt, after a gap of almost three months, replied through an e-mail interaction recently.

In a candid confession the Jamaican legend conveyed that he does not have any regrets after his one of the nine Olympics medals was taken away (Bejing 2008) after his teammate Nesta Carter failed the dope test.

He said, “I do not have any regrets for the incident. I did my job by winning nine gold medals in three consecutive Olympics. Even I am not angry on my mate Nesta Carter."

But at the same time, Bolt expressed frustration over the ongoing pollution in the athletics all over the world, especially in Russia.

He added, “It is the most painful and most unfortunate happening in this millennium. But what I can do? I do not have the power to regulate everything in the world. I have the only satisfaction that whatever I have achieved, I have maintained utmost honesty.

But at the same time, I must thank World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for their initiative to clean the world of athletics from doping. I believe it will take time and the sports lovers will also regain faith on the game."

The sprint legend, however, expressed excitement over the recent deal between a sportswear company and Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli.

Bolt is also brand ambassador of the same company.

The sprinter said, “I have seen his batting and fielding on television sometimes. I am really happy to have seen his aggression on the field. If we meet someday, I will request him to teach me batting!"
