Don't despair, we still have a chance: Bradshaw

St John's, Antigua, Apr 7 (UNI) West Indies fast bowler Ian Bradshaw has urged the Caribbean fans to have patience and faith in the team, saying that all is not lost and his side is still in the contention in the World Cup.

Brian Lara's team have to win all their remaining Super Eight league matches against South Africa, Bangladesh and England to hope to go through to the semi-final.

''We have to play near perfect games from here on,'' Bradshaw said.

''We still have dreams of lifting the Cup. It is not beyond us but first and foremost we have to take care of these three games.'' Bradshaw admitted that the slump in form after the first phase -- where the home side kept a clean slate -- had put pressure on the players.

''You are conscious of it. Family, friends and the fans are disappointed because they are looking for more from the team and we ourselves are really disappointed because we started well and just fell off in the last three games, which were unfortunately critical games for us.

''It is pretty straightforward for us from here on. We have to try and win each game and win as convincingly as possible,'' Bradshaw said.

''If we work hard, and we get past the Super Eights, then we are confident that we can play two good games, in the semi-final and the final, to win the Cup.'' UNI
