Double for Sri Ram Balaji, Prerna in singles title

Chennai, Aug 18 (UNI) Sri Ram Balaji of Tamil Nadu bagged a double winning the boy's singles and doubles title, while Delhi's Prerna Bhambri annexed the girl's singles title in the Adidas-MCC Junior National hard court Tennis Championship here today.

Sri Ram Balaji bagged the singles title 6-1, 6-4 upsetting second seeded Abhijit Tiwari of Chandigarh.

Later, he partnered with Vijayant Malik to bag the doubles title when their rivals Jugal and Sumit Shinde conceded the tie.

Sriram and Vijayant were leading 6-3, 3-1 when they conceded.

In the girls, ninth seeded Prerna Bhambri defeated 14th seed Sonia Dayal of Maharashtra 6-2, 6-3 for the title.
