Dravid achieves yet another feat as Captain
Chennai, Jan 27 (UNI) Team India skipper Rahul dravid today achieved yet another milestone when he reached 2,000 runs as captain and became the fourth Indian to achieve this feat.
Dravid, leading the side for the 57th time, reached the landmark when he scored his 38th run in the third ODI against West Indies at the M A Chidambaram stadium here.
Others who had reached this landmark included Mohd Azharuddin who tops the list with 5,239 runs in 174 matches as captain, followed by Saurav Ganguly (147 maches, 5,104 runs) and Sachin Tendulkar (73 matches, 2,454 runs).
Later, both Dravid and Tendulkar scored their 75th half century in their ODI career, just eight shot of Pakistan skipper Inzamam ul Haq, who leads with a maximum of 83 half centuries. While Dravid scored his seventh half century against West Indies, it was 11th against the Carribeans for Sachin.
