Dravid says he was relieved after victory

Bangalore, May 3 (UNI) Royal Challengers skipper Rahul Dravid today said the win against Deccan Chargers brought him relief as the crowd expected it very badly after the team lost more than a couple of matches earlier at home.

Speaking to newsmen after a thrilling three-run victory, he said, ''it is a big relief, I am very happy that we won the game in Bangalore. Though we were losing very closely in the earlier matches, today's win was special that too in front of home crowd.'' He said the bowlers bowled superbly. Complementing Wasim Jaffer he said, ''he is a very strokeful and sensible player.'' Laxman said, ''it was very disappointing to lose a close game. After the 16th over we lost too many wickets.

''We are happy with the fielding and batting. Fall of Rohit Sharma's wicket was the turning point in today's match,'' he added.

Replying to a question, he said, ''In T20 game we have to remain positive and potential is very important.'' When asked whether he was satisfied with his performance in the IPL so far, he said, ''I am in good form, last four innings I have played very well.'' He said the Royal Challengers batted well and fielded well.
