Full-Time Stats

The referee blows the final whistle as East Bengal players run down the remaining minutes on the clock! What a complete display by the young East Bengal side as they dominate all aspects of the game

90+2' Shyamal Besra with a fabulous left-footed strike and it sails into the net with a force! What a strike by the young forward after receiving the second ball following a corner as East Bengal takes the match! Three minutes of match left!
Shymal Beshra springs into action as he glides past two defenders to find space inside the box. He shoots from a tight angle as well but his effort was blocked away for a corner by Priyant! The official adds five minutes of injury time!
83' Kidderpore are growing frustrated in the match as a midfielder takes a weak attempt from 30 yards out following a disjointed build-up! Sums up their performance as East Bengal have dominated all the facets of the match
80' Kidderpore have grown in confidence as their possession has increased in the second half but it has been meaningless as they are unable to penetrate into the East Bengal box at the moment.
Souvik Chakraborti and Niyas comes off while Shyamal Besra and Tanmay Das joins the play. Kidderpore make a change too as Hijam Lenin Singh comes in for Tirthankar
Big let-off for East Bengal! Goalkeeper Nishad was caught way off the goal line as Tirthankar took a shot on goal from near the half line! The effort was just inches off the far post! Meanwhile coach Bino George is making two changes!

71' Kush Chhetry skies the ball off-target from close range as he couldn't connect with a low cross provided by Dip Saha, who made a direct run from the left flank before sending the ball in! That should have killed the game for East Bengal!
Poorly taken low corner by Tuhin Das as his set-piece delivery was easily cleared by Kidderpore's defense. This approach may comeback to hurt East Bengal as they just have a goal lead in this game!
68' Mohammad Rakip wins a corner for East Bengal as he finds space on the right flank on the counter as the side attacks against the run of play! His cross took a deflection and went behind the goalline!
66' Kidderpore are trying to build an attack from the right flank through a patient passing but East Bengal are using side overloading to cramp the space for Kidderpore to have a clarity in the attack!
61' Promising attack by Kidderpore as left winger Md Farid breaks free in his position on the attack and delivers a threatening first-time cross as well! But the linesman has raised the flag, Farid was offside!
59' Kidderpore are getting closer to East Bengal box in the last five minutes as the side trailing is seeing some possession but East Bengal are showing their defensive solidity by putting numbers in the box and cramping Kidderpore forwards for space!
Kidderpore threatened to catch East Bengal on the counter as a three-pass move from the defense to attack saw M Soukathali in a one-on-one situation with an East Bengal centre-back at the halfway line! The defender, however, had the pace to intercept the ball off the lone forward wearing no. 100!
53' Kidderpore win a rare corner following a not-so-convincing attack as they barely made it inside the box with the move. The resulting corner wasn't up to the mark too as it was cleared away at the near post!
52' Big opportunity missed for East Bengal! Gursimrat Gill hit the indirect free-kick ball by Souvik Chakraborti on the target but Priyant stood on the way to block it with his body! Priyant had to ensure the ball doesn't go into the goal as he had to dive to his right to palm the ball away before a teammate cleared it!
Sanjib Ghosh was taken down deep inside KSC's half on left wing after the player went to collect a heavy cross from the right side from Dip Saha!
46' The second half sees Kidderpore keep early possession but they are unable to come out of their own half as East Bengal press them hard and in numbers!

The second half is expected to start soon as it will be interesting to see how Sayantan Das Roy's Kidderpore tweak their plan to deal with the quality of East Bengal midfield.
A stunning goal by Tuhin Das in the 33rd minute gave East Bengal a 1-0 lead over Kidderpore at the Naihati Stadium. It was a foolproof display by East Bengal as they played eye-catching football with the presence of experienced ISL player Souvik in the midfield. The midfield general allowed the likes of Aman CK, Kush Chhetry Avishek Kunjam to exploit the high-defensive line of Kidderpore. It won't be wrong to say the scoreline could have seen more goals if East Bengal had a quality number 9 at front as the experience in attack has been lacking!

East Bengal win a free kick some 30 yards away from the goal and Souvik Chakraborti steps to take it after a build-up of cheers by the crowd. His effort, however, sailed over the bar despite the goalkeeper's effort to reach it. The referee blows the half time whistle right after!
44' Souvik Chakrabarti's presence has been important in the midfield but this time the experienced midfielder delivers a cross out for a goal kick as he hits it too hard. An opportunity wasted as two East Bengal forwards were inside the half!
41' Yellow card for KSC's Aditya Saha as the right back takes down Kush Chhetry on East Bengal's left wing to stop a counter attack!
40' East Bengal continue to dictate the play with nearly 60% of possession! Kidderpore has made efforts to keep the ball and play the game at their own pace but East Bengal are pressing well to get the ball back!
35' The 33rd-minute goal was no surprise as East Bengal has been dominating the match from the start. Souvik has been a strong presence in midfield as he has been spraying passes from the centre of the park!

WHAT A GOAL! TUHIN WITH A LONG RANGER! Goalkeeper Priyank had no option to save it as that was a rocket left-footed strike by midfielder Tuhin Das, who was allowed the space to run close to the box unmarked and shoot!

30' Gursimrat Singh Gill heads the ball off target following a corner! Big chance goes begging as the goalkeeper wasn't in the position to save it!
East Bengal, who are currently placed third in Group B behind George Telegraph and Bhawanipore FC with four points, won the game 4-2 through goals from Sarthak Golui, Dip Saha, Avishek Kunjum, and Tapendu Ghosh (own goal). The important win came after the Bino George-led junior side was held to a 0-0 draw in their opening game against a tough outfit in Rainbow AC.
However, the win against West Bengal Police brought confidence back into the camp as it was also the first win of the season. There were a lot of positives to take as they outran the West Bengal Police with their youthful display in the second half. Likes of Dip Saha, Aman CK Bunando Singh, Kush Chhetry, and Lijo impressed with their talent.
The inexperienced in the defense was exposed as West Bengal Police leveled the scoreline despite the early jolts of two goals in 25 minutes but the ability to protect the goal after restoring a two-goal lead in the latter half of the game expressed hope.
For the game against Kidderpore AC, it will be interesting to see if coach Bino George, who was assistant coach of the senior East Bengal side in the ISL last season, will like to test his bench strength or like to continue the momentum with a winning line-up. The intent for the second will also reveal an urge to go all the way in the tournament.
Their rival Kidderpore are also coming into the game after winning their last game with a first-half goal 1-0 win over Calcutta Customs. The win in their first game placed them eighth in the 13-team group with three points.
