East Zone prevails over North

Visakhapatnam, Mar 26 (UNI) A brilliant 109 by A Mazumdar helped East Zone win by 56 runs over North Zone in the Deodhar Trophy at the ACA-VDCA Stadium here today.

East Zone which won the toss, elected to bat in the 50 over league match. A Mazumdar 109 and Sourab Tewari 73 helped pile 296 for nine wickets.

In reply, North Zone managed 240 for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Virat Kohli top scored with 62 off 76 balls. P Sangwan captured 3 wickets (10-1-54-3) for his team.
