East Zone win toss, elect to field

Ahmedabad, Feb 26 (UNI) East Zone won the toss and decided to field in the second Deodhar Trophy day-and-night match against South Zone, at Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium here today.

Teams: South Zone: B M Rowland, S A Asnodkar, S Badrinath, D Kalyankrishna, V S T Naidu (wicket-keeper), V V S Laxman (captain), P Ojha, K S Sahabuddin, Y Venugopal Rao, R Vinay Kumar and A S Yadav.

East Zone: D Dasgupta (wicket-keeper), W P Saha, P Aziz, R R Bose, M Diwakar, R S Gavaskar, A A Jhunjhunwala, L R Shukla, S Singh, M Tiwary, S S Paul.

Umpires for the match are S D Ranade and M S S Ranawat and TV umpire R Subramanian. The match referee is B Pillai.
