Kolkata, May 24 (UNI) Monoranjan Bhattacharjee, who helped East Bengal win many trophies in late 70s and 80s, was named as the chief coach of the club for 2008-09 soccer season.
Mr Bhattacharjee, before this assignment, had coached East Bengal in the 90s.
Besides, Aloke Mukherjee will be the coach and Debasish Mukherjee the goalkeeping coach.
The club in an announcement yesterday said it would also hire a nutritionist, physician, psychologist and a referee.
The soccer giants, will have a moderate budget of Rs 6.90 crore.
A major share would come from their sponsors UB Group owned by Vijay Mallya.
