Elbek Alyshov Crowned ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion After Stunning TKO Win

The Inner Circle 24 and ONE Friday Fights 164 marked a major night on 31 July at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with Elbek Alyshov stopping Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu by TKO at 2:52 of round two to win the ONE Bantamweight MMA World Championship and move to 11-0.

Alyshov controlled round one with strong takedown defence and elbows, taking Baatarkhuu’s spinning kick and then landing punches. In round two, after the champion landed a kick, Alyshov fired two right uppercuts that dropped him, before two more ground strikes forced the stoppage. He also earned a US$50,000 performance bonus.

Ramadan Ondash edged fellow flyweight Muay Thai contender Johan Ghazali by split decision in one of the night’s tightest bouts. Ondash’s higher punch volume and a strong left hook made the difference, while Ghazali stayed in range with elbows and tomahawk attacks across all three rounds.

Earlier, Abdallah Ondash completed a family double by avenging his 2024 loss to Chokpreecha PK TomTKalaiyont with a crescent kick KO in 19 seconds. It was his fifth straight highlight-reel finish, and the Ondash brothers both won on the same night for the second time this year.

At ONE Friday Fights 164, three-time ISKA Kickboxing World Champion Akram “La Pepite” Hamidi returned to the global stage with a unanimous decision over Watcharaphon Laochokcharoen. After being dropped by a left hook in round one, Hamidi recovered with a right hook and controlled rounds two and three.

Arsoonnoi Sitjasing extended his winning run to three with a unanimous decision over Nongkhailek Dr.Knotmuaythai, scoring knockdowns with overhand right counters in rounds two and three. Undefeated Filipina Islay Erika Bomogao also secured a US$100,000 ONE Championship contract after a third-round KO of Klinphaka Por Thaisong.

In the Inner Circle 24 card, Asahi Shinagawa stopped Salvador Velazquez Villarello by TKO at 2:27 of round two in Muay Thai bantamweight action. The event also featured the earlier wins by Alyshov, Ramadan Ondash and Abdallah Ondash on a night that produced several finishes and close decisions.
