Emile Heskey's fiancie recounts burglary horror

By Super Admin

London, May 9 (ANI): Football star Emile Heskey's fiancie has finally spoken about her harrowing ordeal where she was held at knife-point by burglars looking for her diamond-studded engagement ring.

Twenty-seven year old Chantelle Tagoe, Heskey's intended, was alone and working out in the basement gym, when the thieves broke into their house in Hale, Manchester.

A petrified Chanelle immediately dialed 999 and hid.

However, the thieves rounded her up in a matter of minutes roughing her up at knife-point and demanding that she hand over her engagement ring.

"Within minutes they found me. They had scarves around their mouths and hoods pulled down. One of them had a knife with a huge blade. I remember thinking, 'That is massive'. One grabbed me by my vest top and shouted at me to show him the safe. As he dragged me upstairs to our bedroom he was pulling me backwards and forwards and I kept thinking the knife was going to stab me in the neck," Chantelle told News of the World.

"He kept shouting, 'Where's your engagement ring?' I thought it must be next to the kitchen sink where I'd been washing up but it wasn't there. I was pulling out the drawers trying to find it. He was shouting at me constantly. I was screaming and crying, I kept thinking, 'He's going to stab me if I can't find it'," she recounts.

Eventually the knifeman's accomplice decided they should escape and before shutting Chantelle in a downstairs bathroom they grabbed the car keys to the couple's BMW X5 and fled with loot worth thousands of pounds.

The ring was later found in another bedroom where she'd taken it off the day before, the paper reported.

The gang has been christened the "Away Day Robbers" because of their modus operandi, and has previously targeted twenty-one other footballers' homes. (ANI)
